Billi’s newest Australian-designed dispenser, XT Motion, has been recognised with a 2026 Australian Good Design Award for excellence in design, innovation and impact.
Billi XT Motion received a 2026 Australian Good Design Award Winner accolade in the Product Design – Domestic Appliances category, recognising the thinking behind a product designed to respond to the changing needs of modern shared environments.
Designed in Australia, Billi XT Motion is available exclusively through Reece, also known as as Billi Touch Motion, bringing together touch and touchless operation with filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water through one refined tap solution.

Designed for the way shared spaces are used
From workplaces and education environments to healthcare and hospitality, shared kitchens need to accommodate different users, preferences and requirements throughout the day.
XT Motion was designed around this challenge.
By combining traditional touch operation with touchless functionality, users can choose how they interact with the system while accessing filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water from a single tap.
The result is a solution that balances functionality, hygiene and usability with an architectural form designed to complement contemporary interiors.

What the Jury said
“a well-executed product that successfully addresses a genuine problem in communal kitchen environments“.

The Jury also highlighted XT Motion’s ability to unify touch and touchless control within one interface, describing the integration of multiple water functions as:
“a meaningful advancement in tapware design, improving hygiene, usability and safety in everyday use across offices, schools, hospitals and hospitality settings.”
The Jury further recognized XT Motion’s “architecturally well-resolved form and distinctive proportions”, acknowledging the importance of both performance and aesthetics in the product’s design.
Australian design recognized
XT Motion was commissioned by Billi and designed in Australia in collaboration with APT Hosico, Bayly Group and Xentronics.
The award provides independent recognition of the design and development behind XT Motion and Billi’s continued focus on creating drinking water solutions that respond to real-world needs.
The Australian Good Design Awards are Australia’s longest-running international design awards. Established in 1958, entries are evaluated by an independent Jury of Australian and international design experts against three criteria: Good Design, Design Innovation and Design Impact.
The 2026 Awards are presented under the theme Design that Leads, recognising the role design can play in responding to changing social, environmental and technological needs.
